NEW Primary Care Dental Advisor (Operations & Strategy) Role Advertised

The LDC has been advised of the following role:

The Cardiff & Vale UHB Primary, Community & Intermediate Care Clinical Board are pleased to announce the recruitment of a key role within the Primary Care Dental Team for the development and implementation of important strategies to redesign the care of patients and the prevention of disease amongst the population of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in line with the principles of Prudent Healthcare, the National Oral Health Plan and “Our Plan For A Primary Care Service For Wales Up To March 2018.”

The role of the new Primary Care Dental Advisor (Operations & Strategy) will sit alongside our existing Primary Care Dental Advisor (Governance) to provide a strong clinical leadership model to develop and monitor services in the future. This role will be involved in the development of Care Pathways, working in existing Managed Clinical Networks and independently as well as alongside the Community Dental Service, University Dental Hospital and increasingly the Primary Care Clusters to ensure that the right patients are treated in the right place by the right clinician in a timely fashion.

The role would suite a forward-thinking, process-minded clinician with significant experience of GDS practice wishing to play a key role in shaping the future services for the population of Cardiff & the Vale. The applicant does not need to be a GDS contract holder but should understand and have experience of the GDS contract.
