Russell works as a GDP in Chepstow in Beaufort Park Dental Surgery in mixed practice. Qualified 2002 in Cardiff, Russell has completed an MSc in restorative cosmetic dentistry and is a member of the Joint Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons.
Russell joined the Gwent LDC in 2014 and has held the post of treasurer since 2015. Russell works full time in Chepstow in General practice.
